On Tuesday, the Australian Treasury reported that cosmos asset management's Bitcoin ETF, the first Bitcoin portfolio swap fund in Australia, will be announced on the Cboe trading platform next week.
ASX Clear, the clearing centre at the heart of Australia's capital markets, has confirmed that it has four market participants who will meet the initial margin requirement of 42 per cent.
Hamish Treleaven, head of risk at the ASX, said the announcement would be made to market participants on Wednesday.
This will allow the products to start trading on April 27. The Cosmos Fund invests in cryptocurrencies through the Bitcoin ETF Purpose approved on the Toronto Stock Exchange in November 2021.
They report that there is a $1 billion investment in cash flow when the ETF is announced in Australia next week.
Cosmos currently has two products, including the Global Digital Miners Access ETF that trades on Cboe Australia with a net worth of $2.1 million, and the unapproved Bitcoin Wholesale Access Fund.
Asx Clear's approval of Cosmos' Bitcoin ETF could allow the National Stock Exchange in Australia to start approving more Bitcoin ETFs.
