“Real – Virtual is one”, President Truong Gia Binh asked all FPT students to learn about Blockchain and Metaverse in the near future.
The blockchain sector creates many opportunities for attractive income levels for GenZ generation. Many students love and want to learn about this field, so the university decided to hold a talk show with the theme: “Blockchain has changed the world – Vietnam” in November 2021. The event attracted hundreds of students.
Following the talkshow, FPT University expressed its interest and strategic vision for Metaverse and Blockchain in the future. Today, technology is evolving like a storm, and if we want to keep up with this wave then “we have to go faster” must take the time to study blockchain.
With the wave of industry 4.0, Blockchain is considered the “key” technology for digital transformation and building the future information technology platform. As a leading university in technology and providing technology human resources not only domestically and internationally, FPT University is also not out of that wave of industry 4.0.
Fpt Group’s 2022 Annual General Meeting was held yesterday afternoon (April 6). Here, Chairman Truong Gia Binh shares the Group’s vision and strategy for Blockchain and Metaverse.

He said FPT is thinking of Metaverse as “virtual reality as one”, there are “pure virtual” metaverses such as Axie Infinity. But FPT is more inclined to “virtual reality is one” because it thinks that this model will develop much more sustainably than pure digital Metaverse. The Meduverse program, for example, is a combination of Education and Metaverse. This is a new learning technology that stimulates children’s creativity in learning, this model must have the role of students in the Metaverse world.
“It will be a bit early, but hopefully in the near future you will see FPT apply Metaverse into real life both in Vietnam and around the world.”
Regarding blockchain, Binh said that FPT is one of the leading enterprises in this technology. The business already has a solid and leading foundation in Blockchain and NFT as the first customer was Singapore Airlines. Now, FPT does not have to make products for customers anymore but for itself. Towards the blockchain protocols for global service implemented by FPT itself.
According to Binh, the Blockchain Conference hosted by Binance in Dubai, Vietnam has been recognized as a blockchain hub of the world. This morning (April 7th), FPT has asked all students of FPT University system to learn about Blockchain and Metaverse technology in the near future.
