A non-governmental organization called Bitcoin Argentina has partnered with Built With Bitcoin to educate students about Bitcoin. The program called Schools and Bitcoin will include students from 40 different schools.
Jimena Valone, Institutional Development Coordinator of Bitcoin Argentina along with schools and Bitcoin Project Manager, said: "It's an innovative desire to know what's going on with Bitcoin and blockchain as well as to train and learn."
Valone went on to explain, "All of this is the starting point for starting to think about the project, which starts with 40 schools, but we hope there will be a larger number. The program is designed to serve more and more educational institutions with diverse characteristics and regions.
A report from Chainalysis shows that Argentina is ranked second in Latin America in terms of cryptocurrency adoption, after Venezuela. Argentina is also ranked 10th in the world. Different regions of Argentina will be represented by 4,000 students expected to participate in the program.
"The content of the application program will be diverse, changing from school to school. Argentina is a diverse country, so it is necessary to think about each context when introducing the document," Valone said.
In April, Reuters reported that Argentina is experiencing an Inflation rate of more than 55%, and in 2019, a policy was adopted for Argentine citizens restricting the conversion of pesos to dollars to dollars of $200 per month.
The whole situation has prompted Argentines to learn cryptocurrencies. There is nothing else they can do to avoid soaring inflation other than to pour their money into cryptocurrencies and stablecoins.
