BitMEX – The major electronic exchange has complied with European Union sanctions against Russia by enforcing a broad-based restrictions on Russian users.
Termination of service due to European Union sanctions
BitMEX has changed its limited jurisdiction to comply with restrictive Measures of the European Union. BitMEX has notified the group of people who are likely to be affected by the upcoming policy changes via email.

After July 11, 2022, all Russian citizens or residents will not be able to access BitMEX's services. This indicates that users will not be able to log into the account or any service from the European Union.
No restrictions apply to Russian citizens who are also residents of the European Union or Switzerland
However, these restrictions will not apply to Russian citizens or residents who access BitME services from the EU. Citizens of the European Union or Switzerland residing outside Russia were not affected.
"You can submit information for exemptions and continue to access BitMEX services from the European Union, if you are a citizen of the European Union or Switzerland or dual citizenship of the two countries and reside outside Russia."
The subjects of this measure are all traders, including traders on behalf of legal entities, legal entities established in Russia and traders who access services from the EU.
Earlier, Binance announced the restrictions on Russian users, and BitMEX introduced similar restrictions shortly thereafter. Shortly after the event on February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced "special military operations" in Ukraine, which were announced and issued.
