Coinbase’s chief product officer explains why COINBASE USA is confident that the exchange can beat top competitors like Binance or FTX
In a new interview on the Unchained Podcast, Chatterjee, CPO of Coinbase said that competition is good for the crypto space and fosters innovation.
“In terms of why we think we’re in a good place, I think, first, we focus on trust. It is we want to be the most reliable option for customers. And that comes from our investment in security, hacking prevention, compliance, and this is a huge investment over the years. You know some of our competitors may not focus on it.
It’s also rigorous risk management, enthusiastic customer support, basically not to be sketchy, that’s how I say it. ”
Chatterjee also said Coinbase is obsessed with making things simple. He said the exchange expects to have a billion users in the future, and that requires long-term and sustained investment in the technology.
Finally, the Coinbase executive argued that the exchange’s integrated suite of products gives them an advantage.
“If you’re a Coinbase customer, if you have a Coinbase account, we try to make it simple and easy for you to access all of our products and services. So it’s not just about buying and selling cryptocurrency, if you want to stake, send, receive cryptocurrency, use a debit card to pay someone, buy NFTs, participate in E3 games or any other interesting app, all of them that you can do on our platform, with a single account. ”
