Cunningham became an adviser to Uniswap.
On June 15, Uniswap announced that former New York Stock Exchange chairman Stacey Cunningham would join the company as an advisor.
Cunningham served as the first female chairman of the New York Stock Exchange after starting her career as a trader on the exchange. Cunningham believes in Uniswap's potential commitment to fairer markets. Cunningham was also placed on the BBC's List of 100 Women and joined the NYSE board in December 2021.
Uniswap Labs said in a statement: "We are honored to welcome Stacey Cunningham, former president of the New York Stock Exchange, as an Advisor to Uniswap Labs."

Uniswap believes in collaboration with Cunningham
Uniswap put its trust in Cunningham's experience in translating TradFi to DeFi to help them further develop their position in Web3.
Uniswap enables automated transactions between cryptocurrency tokens on the Ethereum blockchain using smart contracts. Uniswap is considered a Decentralized exchange that uses liquidity groups as opposed to Binance, a centralized exchange that acts as a market maker.
Cunningham's existing experience with exchanges, traditional stock exchanges, Nasdaq and NYSE will help Uniswap fulfill its mission.
Back in May, Uniswap revealed that it had surpassed $1T in terms of trading volume across about 4 million addresses. This has put the exchange ahead of other players in the cryptocurrency sector such as Crypto.com and Kraken. On June 15, DEX saw the price of Ethereum flash drop to $941 after a whale dumped 93,000 ETH within six hours.
