Given this number of patents, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office will likely take up to eight months to finalize the review. Recently, Monster Energy Inc. and the New York Stock Exchange also filed trademark applications related to digital assets and metaverses.
Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, said that Instagram will soon integrate NFT across the app's various products. However, not all cryptocurrency projects have had positive results for the Web3 giant. Around the same time, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission took Meta to court on charges of "misconduct, misleading or deceptive conduct." Specifically by publishing fraudulent cryptocurrency advertisements of celebrities on its platform, leading to losses for investors.
