Ceo Mark Zuckerberg said, "We're expanding our experiment so that more creators around the world can show their NFT on Instagram."
The company also said in a statement, "Creators and collectors will be able to share their digital collections on Facebook and Instagram after we start rolling out this feature on Facebook with selected U.S. creators at a later date."
Zuckerberg also confirmed that Facebook will support NFT in the future:
"We will also be putting this feature on Facebook soon. Starting with a small group of creators in the United States, people can cross-post on Instagram and Facebook. We'll also be testing NFT on Instagram Stories soon with SparkAR."
Meta plans to create standard Metaverse space
In May, Meta released digital collections as "a whole new way for consumers and creators to share NFT on Instagram."
Earlier this week, Meta also announced that it would be joining with other tech companies to create a standard Metaverse space. The team plans to build the next version of the web and develop common characteristics for Web3 and Metaverse. Several companies that have joined the initiative include Adobe, Epic Games, Microsoft, Nvidia and Qualcomm.
Other companies also integrate NFT.
Meta isn't the only company looking to integrate NFT.
In January 2022, Twitter said it would roll out support for the use of NFT avatars on its iOS phone app with a hexagonal frame. Twitter's NFT support allows users to link Ethereum-based wallets to their accounts and display their NFT artwork as profile photos.

Recently, eBay acquired the Ethereum-based NFT market, knownOrigin, expanding its foray into Web3. Existing DeFi companies such as Uniswap also acquired NFT marketplace aggregator Genie. This action marks a major step forward in entering the NFT market of this leading decentralized exchange.
