ShibaSwap's main developer Shytoshi Kusama held an earlier Q&A session on Discord, answering questions from community members. Shytoshi has talked a lot about the future of the Shiba Inu to update on its upcoming releases and developments.He stated in the Q&A section that SHIB will "continue to grow" as it is "more recognized and noticed by more people". However, according to Shytoshi, the Shiba Inu has not yet reached its peak and it could reach other heights after Shibarium is released.
Shibarium could be an alternative game for SHIB as it can scale the price of tokens in a sustainable way. When asked what could have happened to the Shiba Inu when Shibarium was released, Shytoshi replied, "I'm trying my best.After Shibarium (release), we will really see the power of SHIB. According to Shytoshi Kusama, the true power of the Shiba Inu can be unleashed for the world to see when Shibarium is released.
However, Shytoshi did not reveal the expected release date for Shibarium and kept the release date private. It has been reported that the Shibarium "document" could be released, as Shytoshi has confirmed its release is premature on Twitter.
Furthermore, Unification, the company that is building the Shibarium layer-2 network, has confirmed that the development is in their second own testnet. The public Testnet has not yet been released.

How Shibarium can help Shiba Inu scale
Shibarium is a layer 2 network built on the foundation of the Ethereum blockchain. It aims to reduce high gas fees for transactions. Reports suggest gas fees may be low and some transactions can be completed for $0. This will attract buying pressure on SHIB and increase trading volume.

In addition, the team is said to be working on a 'combustion mechanism' built into Shabirum that will remove tokens from circulation. It has been reported that Shibarium can charge a small transaction fee that will then be used to 'burn' the tokens.
Over the years, a significant number of tokens have been removed from circulation and made tokens scarce. This development could put SHIB on track towards $0.01 over the years.
